Family Acanthosomatidae

Adult Late August - June

Length 9.5 - 10 mm

Larvae. Are around June - September and feed on ripe berries of the Juniper in their second year. Larvae aree also found on Lawson Cypress Larav have green head with black speckles and two vertical lines . Abdome Bright green with large central black and tan markingsand small black marks around the connexium

Habitat Predominately a species of southern juniper woodlands but possibly expanding duw to the popularity of garden centres

 

A yellow green bug with a distinctive pink brown boomerang mark on the corium
