Description

This purple and gold species flies both during the day and at night,.The larvae of this bright cheery coloured moth feed on mint and thyme. It has 2 generations per year seen from May to August through out Britain on hillside and marshes.The larvae of this moth feed on the following plants corn mint (Mentha arvensis) and thyme (Thymus).
