Green Carpet Moth (Colostygia pectinataria)

Wingspan 22 - 27 mm.

The colour of this moth is bright greenwhen freshly emerged soon fades to a yellowish-brown.Habitats, include heaths, mosses and woodland, and is generally common throughout most of Britain.Like many of its congeners, the main foodplant is bedstraw (Galium).The single generation flies from May to July.
