This is a native shrub found in hedgegrows. The leaves are small UNLOBED and serrated with dark brownblack twigs with spines . Flowers are hawthorn like and appear in early spring BEFORE the LEAVES. Fruits Purple black,bitter tasti tasting sloes, like small plums
